Brodner's Person of the Day: Rudy Giuliani

November 29, 2007

Rudy Giuliani, who took incoming from Romney in the debate last night on immigration and then slimed back with all his might, doing neither of them any good, methinks. Trouble is, Rudy's record is staring him in the face and starting to bite him on the arse. Here's the bed he's made for himself as presented last week by chambermaid David Brooks: THE REAL RUDY. And the heck of it is, this Rudy you can almost. . .like!

Mike Huckabee (another good ol' baptist from Hope, AR), believes in securing the borders but he also said "You know, when people say, 'they're taking our jobs'—I used to hear that as Governor—and I started asking this question, 'can you name me any person, give me their name, who can't get a job plucking a chicken or picking a tomato or tarring a roof that would like to do that work?' ... I never, ever, had a person who could come up with the name of a person who could not get a job because an illegal immigrant had stepped in front of them because it was either a job that person didn't want to do or didn't exist." This is one person who believes in doing the right thing. I don't get the same feeling from Rudy, Mitt, Hillary nor Barack.

I believe that Huckabee was the hands down winner on all fronts. All his answers seemed to come from a place of reason and authenticity. Especially when discussing religion. Plus he never attacks. What is it about Arkansas that produces these very slick characters. People were so happy to have Clinton lie to them. This guy makes happy to follow him back to 1879!!!! Sorry my horse is double parked.
